Mac's Project
Mac's Project was created to benefit children battling cancer while also keeping our planet healthy through recycling. The Project is a certified Non-Profit Community Service Program with the California Department of Conservation. Mac’s Project combined efforts with the Michael Hoefflin Foundation in 2007.
Mac's Project is dedicated to making a difference in childhood cancer awareness and making a difference in our environment by recycling. Mac’s Project was started by Mackenzie Maier and her family with two goals in mind.
· The desire to generate money to help families who have a child being treated for cancer
· Create an awareness of recycling and show how we can all pitch in to save our planet.
By providing people and/or businesses with an easier and more convenient method of recycling and allowing them to help a worthy cause without opening their pocketbooks, we hope to overcome the attitude of - "oh it's too much trouble to recycle".
Mac's Project collects aluminum, glass and/or plastic beverage containers. If you can drink what is inside the container, we can recycle it. Please try to empty all liquid from containers and be sure to rinse out any milk or juice containers so they don't smell!
It is easy to recycle from your business. All you have to do is contact us and let us know that you would like to participate in our Recycle for Life Program. Once you contact us we will deliver the bins to your location and work with you to arrange a convenient pick-up schedule. Best of all, there is absolutely no cost to you or your employer and in fact you could save money by reducing your trash load. We will supply you with bins and pick them up when needed. All you have to do is get everyone to "pitch in" their recyclable beverage containers.
A drop off location is available at the Santa Clarita Soccer Center on
Please contact us for more information and see how easy it is for your business, club or organization to get involved. Mac’s Project will provide you with containers and we will pick them up when needed. It could not be any easier to help a child and save the planet!
