Family Events

The Foundation organizes fun family activities throughout the year.  Each year events have included: a night at Mountasia Family Fun Center, a bowling and pizza party at Santa Clarita Lanes, a Halloween party at Lombardi Ranch, a barbeque and pool party, and various sports and entertainment events.

The Foundation provides financial support to families of children diagnosed with cancer in the Santa Clarita and surrounding valleys.

Emotional Support

The Foundation hosts two monthy support group meetings for Foundation families. 

Wings of Hope is a support group where parents meet to discuss childhood cancer related issues.

Hope Hereafter is a support group for parents who have lost a child to cancer.

A separate group meeting for patients and siblings meets concurrently with both sessions and is facilitated by a licensed counselor who specializes in child and family therapy.

Kare Kits

Kare Kits are special care packages put together by Foundation volunteers to be distributed to newly-diagnosed patients and their families at area hospitals.  They include practical supplies needed for a hospital stay, including: grocery, gasoline, and phone cards, toiletries, a flashlight, a special blanket for the patient, and a notebook of resources for the parents.

Hospitals working with the Foundation include: Kaiser Woodland Hills, Kaiser Sunset, Childrens Hospital Los Angeles, and the UCLA Clinics at Henry Mayo Newhall Memorial Hospital and Mattel Children's Hospital.
